When it comes to staying hydrated throughout the day, nothing beats good old water. And there’s an easy trick to making it more flavorful and exciting to drink —> infuse it!

We love water when it’s flavored with juicy fruits, refreshing herbs and cooling cucumbers! It makes drinking water throughout the day so much more gratifying.

Simply add as much fresh fruit, cucumbers and/or herbs as you like to a pitcher, dispenser or bottle of ice water and sip throughout the day. Add additional water and ice as needed and eat the fruit at the end of the day! There’s really no wrong or right way to make infused water recipes - choose whatever flavors you like the most or experiment with new ones if you’re adventurous.

A few tips for infusing:

  • Make sure to wash all fresh produce and herbs before adding them to your water

  • Maximize the flavor by letting the ingredients infuse for about an hour before drinking

  • Try muddling (or smashing or squeezing) some of the fruit before adding it to boost the flavor even more (works great for watermelon and citrus)

  • To prevent the infusion from spoiling, add ice or keep in the refrigerator

  • Many infusions can last all day if they are kept cool

  • Some fresh fruits like berries may get “water logged” and get soggy after being left in the water too long (simply remove and discard as needed - or eat before they get soggy)
